Did some more reading on Adobe Photoshop Lightroom today, and put together some images that I'll be using for the upcoming Webinar.

Images will be ranging from Senior Pictures, Children's Portrait's, Newborn baby portraits, and more Senior Pictures... I've heard that most of the attendees are portrait photographers and do not focus on Wedding Photography. So I'll gear my lesson towards those individuals!

Also got some exciting news from Adobe. They'll be donating a few things for me to give away during the webinar!!!

We'll be posting links to some important vendors and partners sometime this week! Check them out on http://www.huffakerphotography.com

Also, thanks to McKenna Pro for allowing me to do this Webinar!

Please follow the BLOG for new tips and tricks as well...

Trying to think of the best way to create multiple websites for each type of service.

Thinking about doing it like this:

Wedding Photographers - it's own page
Senior Pictures - it's own page
Family, children's, newborn, maternity, model portfolios - it's own page
Blog -

All based through a splash page at http://www.huffakerphotography.com

I thought it'd be a nice gesture to give something away for my first Webinar so I called went through the ropes at Adobe and they're going to help me out...

At the same time I find that there's some people already wanting me to do a Webinar for up to 500 people... I'd say that's breaking into the photography industry pretty hard core. That makes me really nervous because I'm not really a public speaker. You'd never know it by talking to me, but I just get nervous about things.

Oh well, I've always learned by jumping in head first and letting my toes come out of the water last... I guess it's just my mentality and I'm blessed to be able to learn and adapt that way.

So excited for what lies ahead. Our Wedding Photography calendar is filling up fast!

This years Iowa Professional Potographers convention was amazing. There were so many great speakers, and we had another record attendance. Iowa is filled with amazing photographic talent so it's a must that we keep up on our education and continue to help each other in these hard economic times.

After discussing some things with McKenna Professional Imaging they asked if I'd be interested in doing a Webinar for them. I always say "Help, and be helped!" This will be my first public education engagement and I must say, I'm really excited. We recently started working with McKenna and have been VERY impressed with their photographic print quality, and their customer service has been exceptional. Nancy will be missed, but we wish her the best of luck in her endeavors...

Who knows how many times things will go wrong in the Webinar, but I'm going to make the best of it and hopefully help some fellow photographers along the way. If you were to ask me what single thing made the biggest impact on our studio in 2009, it'd be Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. Hands Down!!! This is such an amazing tool, and if you're not using it or something like it, you should be...

So I'll be doing a Webinar in the coming weeks for McKenna Pro, and hopefully this will lead me into some other speaking engagements down the road. Discussing these types of things will make us all stronger and more aware of what's going on around us.
