We prefer to let our images and quality of work talk the talk. You may wonder why you've never heard of us. We choose not to send 1000's of postcards to seniors because it's a waste. 9 out of 10 decisions are made by Word of Mouth recommendations from other peers. Why increase the carbon footprint, clog the landfills, and your counter tops with another postcard. That does nothing to set us apart... Main reason Seniors and their parents choose out studio: They want something DIFFERENT!

Everything we do is custom, from graduations invitations, to album design. We do everything by hand and let the 'other' studio look like the 'other' studios. :)

Christie has a degree in Graphic Design with a minor in photography. She adds another level of service to our studio that many others can't. Things look the way they should and are appealing to the eye. We choose to not use some choppy template that takes a minute to create and email as a proof. Of course it's quicker, and of course it cost less. But, is that really the way you want to present your image to the rest of the world. Is THAT the way you want to be remembered?

Christie and I, both professional photographers, will be traveling to Kansas City this weekend to discuss the Wedding Photography market with some key individuals. We'll also be spending a lot of time with the infamous owners of Barbour Backdrops.

We feel that education and vendor interaction is a huge part of our success. We listen to our clients and other vendors to find out exactly what our clients want. There are so many amazing photographers around the country, but there are not enough that actually listen to what their clients want. We strive to give our clients exactly what they expect and more.

I look forward to meeting with vendors at the HOA Professional Photographers convention in Kansas City and hope to make some great connections with some local Wedding venues in Kansas City.

In March, Ankeny photographers Clint and Christie Huffaker, of Huffaker Photography, LLC started offering Senior Pictures in Omaha to allow our most unique high school seniors to travel a short distance to take part in a completely different experience. Something that would easily set their senior portraits apart from all their other classmates.

Omaha's Old Market district provides such a fun and safe environment to take senior pictures. The old architecture and brick streets is reminiscent of Des Moines East Village and Valley Junction. However the senior pictures that we will capture in Omaha will be far superior to many that can be created in the Des Moines area.

As I prepare for today's shoot at the beautiful historic Hotel Pattee in Perry, Iowa I sit and wonder why women are so self conscious about themselves. Every person is beautiful in their own way and it is our job as Boudoir Photographers to make every women of any shape or size look beautiful and sexy. 

We made it back from the Iowa City Bridal Show late last night. Iowa City is a beautiful town, with so much architecture and history. It gives us such a good feeling when Brides come up to our booth and say you're the Best Wedding Photographer here!

We made some AMAZING contacts, and got information to be linked to a major player in the floral design market. I was attacked by one of the other vendors and she demanded that I contact this specific person. Who is very accustomed to BIG events that attract celebrities from around the world. So maybe we'll get our foot in the door!

Otherwise, the turnout wasn't as expected, but we talked to a few people that seemed to be very interested in our photojournalist wedding photography! I don't prefer to describe our style that way, but that's what people understand. I would call us lifestyle Wedding Photographers who capture the true essence of this very beautiful day.
